Terms of service

Noduo provides temporary two-person communication sessions concealed behind an ordinary text utility. Messages expire after the selected period once opened by the other participant; unread messages remain until the conversation expires. Private views lock after five minutes without interaction and when the page is hidden.

Noduo is not an emergency service, an archival service, or a guarantee of anonymity. Important information should not be entrusted solely to Noduo.

You must use Noduo lawfully. You must not use it for fraud, impersonation, phishing, coercion, threats, harassment, exploitation, distribution of malware, unlawful content, interference with the service, evasion of legal obligations, or transmission of content you have no right to share.

You are responsible for safeguarding session links and secret phrases and for the actions of anyone with whom you share them.

Noduo does not require user accounts and does not verify the identity, age, authority, intentions, or trustworthiness of any participant. We cannot guarantee that another participant is who they claim to be.

Do not share sensitive information, send money, follow instructions, meet in person, or take any other action based on a conversation unless you have independently verified the identity and authority of the person you are communicating with.

Anyone who obtains both a session link and its secret phrase may be able to access the private conversation. You are responsible for sharing and protecting these credentials appropriately.

Noduo only provides the technical communication service. We are not a party to communications, agreements, transactions, representations, meetings, or disputes between participants.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Noduo is not responsible for impersonation, deception, fraud, phishing, coercion, harassment, abuse, unlawful conduct, or other harm caused by another participant or by a person who gains access to session credentials.

Do not rely on Noduo for emergencies, identity verification, financial instructions, payments, legal notices, medical advice, safety-critical communication, or any situation where loss, delay, impersonation, or misunderstanding could cause significant harm. Noduo is not an emergency, identity-verification, financial, medical, or legal service.

One-hour and 24-hour sessions are free. A seven-day session costs €1.99, a 30-day session costs €3.99, and a session without automatic expiry costs €5.99. Each is a one-time payment. Encrypted photo sharing is an optional €3.99 one-time add-on for any session lifetime. There is no recurring subscription. Any applicable tax is shown before payment.

Stripe Managed Payments acts as merchant of record and processes checkout, payment, tax, receipts, and approved refunds under its own terms. Our refund policy forms part of these terms.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, or improve the service. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Noduo is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties where legally permitted.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Noduo is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive losses, loss of data, or harm caused by compromised devices, screenshots, recipients, impersonation, deception, reliance on participant statements, browser extensions, or third-party services. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks, legal requirements, or violations of these terms. Expiry or deletion of a session is not a termination requiring notice.
